29 bank branches where you can get your Smart ID and Passport in South Africa
Absa Bank has confirmed that it now offers Home Affairs Smart ID and Passport services at six of its branches in South Africa, taking the total number of bank branches to 29 so far.The confirmation follows the announcement from the Department of Home Affairs this week that the pilot with the banks would be extended to March 2024.An Absa spokesperson said that in the beginning of the bank’s partnership with the DHA in 2017, the group launched with five branches offering Smart ID and passport application services.“Over this period, these branches have performed well.
